What type of materials do you use and how do you finish your paintings? Most of my work is created using acrylic or watercolour paint. I sometimes
use pastels,
glass paint, and other mixed media as a part of my process. Canvas originals are varnished (a liquid sealant) to protect your painting from
oils and dust. For artwork on paper I again seal the surface of the painting
with a light spray varnish and recommend mounting behind glass in a frame to
protect the painting from damage, see my Caring for Your
Artwork guide for more information.
What are you doing to reduce your carbon footprint?
Please visit the Ethical Policy page for details.
Do you do commissions? Yes, I do, For commission information visit the
Commissions page.
Is there a way I can preview what a painting would look like in my house? Yes, if you email me at:
enquiries@jewellsart.co.uk, sending a picture of the wall you want to hang the
painting on. I will use your photo and add the painting onto your wall digitally and send it back for you to
view.
What type of prints do you offer? I offer prints
using:
170gsm Matt Professional Photographic Paper which has a smooth texture and matt finish
270gsm Fine Art Photo Rag paper which give a matt Giclee painterly finish
300gsm Satin Pearl Professional Photographic Paper which has a smooth texture and slight sheen
and heavy weight Art Canvas with a similar texture to the original canvas painting
All the Professional Photographic Papers are acid free and designed to
maintain there colour and not to deteriorate over time.
I always include a white border for easy framing. Details
are shown on each individual product page.
Canvas, Metal, Wood, Acrylic and framed prints are available for some of my
work, direct from an external supplier, please see individual product pages for
details.
Do you Use Recycled Materials?
I use recycled materials where possible, purchasing recycled packaging for
shipping and reusing materials for bulk outer layers and padding during
transport. It is important that the packaging layers next to a painting or print
are acid free and in pristine condition with no creases or damage which would
mark the surface of the work, please visit my Ethical
Policy page for more information.
